It's a long way from Tipperary unless you live in SIngapore.

Ciara's cousin Aoifa was in Australia for 11 days and they decided they NEEDED a Harley ride.
So we got them halfway there with the help of Kym from Trike Trips www.triketrips.com.au and his Victory Cross Country Tour.

Let's first sort out the the ladies' names; Aoifa can also be spelt Aoife and is derived from the Gaelic word 'aoibh' meaning 'Beauty'. Aoifa's name is pronounced ao(i)fa but to me sounded like 'e fa' as in how an Australian would say "e fa (for) egg."
Ciara is easier as it is pronounce it's as if the C is a K and is another Celtic name.

I think their names were the reason they undertook their career paths as Speech Therapists but what would I know, I just take people for a ride.

With the weather forecast, Kym and I were banking on ‘the Luck of the Irish’ though with their day up until we met with them, which had been quite eventful with a flat tyre on their return from the Hunter Valley. They had to use the space saver spare tyre and had them travelling at 80 kph on the 110 kph highway. This would leave the Harley and Victory as a walk in the path.

The appointed time arrived and so did Kym and I.

Ciara chose the Harley and Aoifa chose the Victory.

From Coogee we travelled south, past Maroubra Beach and on to La Perouse. Kym lead as he is like the ‘Garmin of the Eastern Suburbs’ whereas I feel like Alice chasing a rabbit through its warren.

We arrived at La Perouse and so did the rain. It was a passing shower so we took shelter in a coffee shop and of course had coffee. The shower passed and we did another circuit of the park to position ourselves overlooking Bare Island and of course the photo-shoot with 'The Shire' in the distant background. I have to add that as I know it will annoy some readers.

So here are some of the pics.

Ciara and Aoifa with Bare Island in the background.
Ciara in control, hang on Aoifa!
Let's ride like the wind and leave the old blokes behind.
Start your engines.
The Victory is so easy to ride you could do it with your eyes closed.
Strike the pose.
Ready to show how much fun the rides are.
"It's this much fun!"
Some 'Old Bloke' got into the photo. They'll do that.
We returned to the road and Kym gave us his guided tour through the headphones which are all connected to each other.
How was it done? Bluetooth magic, that's as near as I can guess.

Back past Maroubra Beach, then Coogee Beach, Clovelly Beach, Bronte Beach, Tamarama Beach and we stopped at South Bondi for some quick pics. these were so quick, I didn't get to take any.

Beached out, we headed for Bondi and a circuit or maybe a circuit and a half of Centennial Park as not all the gates were open.

From here it was an easy ride back to Coogee and returned the girls.

Sorry no map this time as it's a Trike Trips Adventure so you will have to have Kym take you for a ride.

So why the title? Aoifa grew up in Tipperary on a farm and Kym and I thought it starnge she would travel all the way to Australia for only 11 days. Aoifa works currently in Singapore so it was just a quick trip down.
