Crew member Kym runs Trike Trips www.triketrips.com.au and his Facebook page can be found at www.facebook.com/triketrips?fref=ts . It is like a Pheonix arising as Kym took on the business after he was no longer required where he used to work. I think it did him a big favour but it didn't seem so at the time.
Back to today's tale.
Negin had found Trike Trips and called Kym to take her and her mum whose birthday it was to be, on a ride. Negin though had a special request which Kym was able to cater for and this will unfold further in the story.
The big day of the ride arrived and so did the rain, well not rain more like storms. Kym had made his way most of the way to the pick up point when he had to seek cover under a bridge over the freeway. Negin phoned at the same time to advise the storm had been through their area and not to come. Another date was planned.
The second attempt and they met up at the Sutherland Leisure Centre car park. Negin and her mum were very excited about their 2 hour ride. Little did any of them know how long it would really go for.
So jounrney began, through the entire Royal National Park to Sri Venkateswara Temple near Helensberg where Kym had arranged for Negin and her mum to met the Head Priest. This went better than Kym had planned as it was discovered Negin's mother had lived in India and spoke a bit of Hindi. After a tour of the temple, they had something to eat then returned tot he road.
Kym took the coastal road meaning Sea Cliff Bridge and on to Thirroul then up Bulli Pass and his NEW favourite cafe at Sublime point.
After the infamous (ultra yummy) Muffins and coffee, they returned to Sutherland.
Its interesting Negin and her mother are using the thumbs up as in Australia its a sign of 'all is well' but where Negin and her mother come from in Persia it has a completely different meaning.
Let's hope they are using the Australia thumbs up here.
