Crew member Kym called and said he had finished a ride and would like to go to Stanwell Park for some food.
This gave me an opportunity to take my elder son's Kawasaki 600 Ninja for run, as it must have been starting to feeling a bit rejected as all the other motorcycles had been going out to play.
So I braced myself for a sportsbike run.
I should really, at my age and shape be bracing my wrists, my shoulders and my back with strapping as my body is now not designed with riding sportbikes.
I go down to garage and discover after turning on the ignition on, it has a falsing warning 'fuel'.
OK so the first stop is the local service station. I wonder why we Australians still call them service stations in (now I hope you are ready for it) the GOOD OLD DAYS, the attendant would come out to your car, fill the tank, whilst cleaning the windscreen and windows, checking the oil and water. Maybe attendances cannot multitask anymore or and I doubt this, everyone cleans their windscreen and windows, checks the oil and water. Yeah, not!
So after the tiny fuel tank swallows over $24.00 of fuel, we are, Kym and I ready to fill ourselves.
A leisure ride down to Waterfall, NSW then a left turn and into the Royal National Park.
It might be called a Sportsbike but in the patrolled areas we were riding it could have been renamed Leisure-time bike.
As expected, a pleasant run to clear the head and chat to Kym through the Sena Blue Tooth communication. Though he now has sound fitted to the trike, he didn't sing. That is what he calls the audio punished noise he makes whilst he destroys great songs.
His favourite game is guess that song, I would have more chance on ABC's Spicks and Specks.
Having arrived at Stanwell Park Cafe its time to fill the inner man.
I could hold off long enough to get a shot of the caramel slice but the ice coffee was too much to hold back on.
Kym, was hungry and this is what a 'Hamburger with the lot' looks like between Kym's bites.
With the inner men fed, again a quite ride but this time home and along the old highway.
At home I parked the bike and then the pains set in. Next time I will have to use the strappings.
