Sylvio from Wide Ride Australia www.wildride.com.au contacted and advised he had a 90 minute tour from Sydney to North Head and finishing at Taronga Park Zoo. I at the time I did not get the connect with the passengers.
I travel via the Eastern Suburbsto meet Kym at Trike Trips as his home is on the way and he also offers a delicious pre ride coffee. No trike today for Kym as only a bike is required, so he takes the Victory.
A surprisingly easy ride into town with the pick up point behind the Sheraton on the Park. Due the location we make it a quick pick up and we are on time and heading for the bridge via William Street. The map at the bottom will shown the route.
Once over the Harbour Bridge its the back roads for us and the traffic is kind. Even when we get onto Military Road at Cremorne, the traffic's not too bad.
On this trip we make it to North Head and Tara, my passenger and her Optus work colleagues get to Sydney Harbour in a true panorama.
Lots of photos and the group's photographer has a camera which produces photos immediately like the Polaroid cameras of old but the brand is not Polaroid. I am old and have now forgotten what brand it was.
After pointing out the different points of interest to Tara, we gear up and return to 'Show Pony' for the ride to Taronga Park Zoo.
As the traffic is again kind to us and we have some time, we detour via Balmoral Beach. It looks so peaceful as all the Harleys and the Victory thunder through and along the shoreline and into the park which os our turn around point.
The bikes carry us up the climb to Mosman and we turn left to Taronga Park Zoo.
Tara appears to have enjoyed the ride and evens says so. Too polite. Tara's only previous motorcycle experience was in Bangladesh.
Tara, even with her lack of experience was a great pillion and at times I was a worry she was not there. So, where is Tara from, you may ask. Adelaide.
Congratulations Tara on being the best in the Adelaide team and have the chance to Ride with DBR.
