Motorcycle Touring Company - TAMAR Mediterranean Mototours - Israel.

So this one is left field for most of us as I don't think many of your dear readers have thought of doing Israel by motorcycle.

Its amazing the connections one makes when you share the motocycle passion.

I have been in communication with Eytan Magen of TAMAR Mediterranean Mototours and he is trying to convince me to visit and ride with him in Israel. Maybe I should put together a group from Australia, if you are interested, let me know.

Back to the real story;

The trips look truly amazing and its obvious its local knowledge every time that makes them!

So ancient and so much to see.
The road calls.
And the vistas open.
But keep your eyes on the road!
You have to stop sometimes Eytan.
And what better reason than a fresh brew.

Here's Eytan's description of just one day on the road.

It was a sunny day we equipped ourselves with The new 2014 R1200GS by BMW and we headed for yet another test ride tour preparation photo op this time in the north of Israel.

We set out on this lovely sunny winter morning hauling up the Number 6 cross Israel toll road only to hit our first stop at Kibbutz Snir. Snir gets its name after the small and feisty river that runs under it in a beautiful gorge with decks and water falls running year round. This time of year the water flow is strong and the water fall is as always impressive.

Next stop was “Coffee Anan” an amazing cafĂ© situated on an abandoned army bunker overlooking the incredible vistas, on a clear day you can see Damascus from here and right under you an amazing volcanic crater and park.

The freshly baked breads with the best Shakshuka (Eggs and Tomatoes a local specialty) you can dream of were compensation enough for or aching limbs after 300KM of riding.

Heading back we took the scenic route down from the Golan to the Sea of Galilee, not before indulging ourselves with the best Chocholata from the De Karina Chocholetria, warming up and then back to civilization, All in all an amazing day.

This day resembles in essence our third day in our classical tour of Israel.

So this is my introduction to you of Eytan, he looks forward to hearing from you and even keener to share the passion.

If you are in Golan Heights, you should visit The Chocolate Factory "De Karina" that offers the most sweet hand made chocolate experience.

Visit www.de-karina.co.il if you can read Hebrew but the pictures do look great, alternatively head to www.israeltraveler.org/en/business/de-karina and find out more.
